I'm a health coach, degreed nutritionist holding a specialization in sports nutrition, and a certified personal trainer based in Orange County, California. I received my BS from MIT and DN from CSULA.

"Everyone is an athlete" — it's true. I don't mean it in the sense of doing organized sports or being competitive. However, I do mean that for your body to thrive, you must give it:

"Athleticism" is what human biology expects of us.
Too many people are unaware that musculoskeletal function is THE LYNCHPIN of ALL health — even mental health. Longevity and wellness are more readily attained and kept with optimal muscle and bone health.

APPROACH & METHODOLOGY
I'm gentle, patient, well-spoken, very approachable, and I place a premium on proper biomechanics and injury prevention. I also have a knack for explaining abstract and complicated things about our bodies and biology to others. I'm a natural educator (it runs in my family).
These traits make me perfect for people new to fitness and older athletes in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond!
I myself am 54 years young and keep myself young through fitness, diet, and supplementation. Let me share this rewarding path with you. I promise you'll love it and love yourself.
My health specializations are: nutrition, health and longevity (anti-aging), biomechanics, body image, muscular and aesthetic development, advanced body recomposition, strength, balance, flexibility, and functional fitness.
Health Forward
All programming, habits, and any recommended supplementation are intended to optimize your health and wellness while achieving the visible results you seek.
We'll also review your health history, blood work, and help you communicate with your doctor about maximizing your wellness or any health matters. My dietetics education qualifies me to help you understand what the medical establishment doesn't have the time to explain to you and how to properly navigate it in the best interests of your health, both mental and physical.
Guided by Science
All the guidance you'll receive from me is 100% rooted in science ("evidence-based knowledge"). While I do not disparage alternative medicine, I do not promote any myself. For clients who report they benefit from any holistic or alternative therapies, I endeavor to explain their mechanisms of action within the context of what is known about physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and biochemistry to see how well we can bridge established science with alternative approaches.
Biomechanics Rule!
I strictly monitor client form and watch for any biomechanical issues to address them early on. Injury prevention in the short-term as well as ensuring long-term functional strength and mobility are non-negotiable.

You'll reverse key markers of biological aging using exercises, nutrition, and supplementation.
You'll also boost your focus, happiness and self-confidence, which profoundly impact your wellness and health-span
If your goals include fat loss, I will ensure you achieve it in a sustainable way. If your goals include muscle gains, you can expect to add muscle mass and improve your bone density.
If you seek competitive levels of leanness ("6-pack abs") — I can help you. Whether you attain it or not is not a result I can promise however. Too many in this industry will promise you the moon when it comes to visible abs. The reality is that if you've been significantly overweight for a significant amount of time, you will have a very hard time attaining abs, much less maintaining them. Often, seeing loose skin interfering with the results of your hard work dissuades those who would otherwise seek abs. You and I will talk extensively about your body type, frame, history, hormones, and all other factors that play a role in what is realistic, sustainable versus what is not. My overarching aim, at least when speaking solely about aesthetic goals, is for you to be happy and confident with your look.
Whether you want to lose weight or gain weight, I will help insure achieve your aims while learning how to maximize your health regardless of what your body's weight does.
In the long term, being underweight is much riskier to your well being in old age than being overweight. With that in mind, I will generally hope your goals will include maximizing your muscle and bone mass relative to whatever aesthetic or lifestyle goals you have. Either way, you'll learn the best path for YOU to a healthier and happier you for the long road.
